Betty Lou Santmire contacted Audra Piner who is currently in an independent living center.
She talked to her a little while & found she spent several months in the nursing home part
then the assisted living part and then to the apartment she is in currently.
Her sister is down the hall and they are enjoying getting to visit.
She is still active and doing some of her religious programs. She had one scheduled
the night Betty Lou talked to her, "I Walked Where Jesus Walked."
She sounded a little weak and said she is in a wheel chair even in the apartment
but she said she is doing good. She told Betty Lou she was 90 earlier this year.
In case anyone wants her address and phone, it is:

Helen Horvath, Past Guardian of Bethel 69 and mother of Kathy Coslet PHQ
and PG of Bethel 69, has been in the hospital. Her blood pressure was 210/110
and they couldn't figure out why. What they found was that the renal arteriogram
that she had in August destroyed the one good kidney that she had. She is now
on dialysis 3 times a week. She is at home as of Saturday Oct. 6. Please keep her
in your prayers. If you would like more information please contact Kathy Coslet
at kathygrady@sbcglobal.net Thank you in advance for your prayers as at 92 the odds are
against her getting off dialysis. Her spirit is good and she is determined to get off
it within a couple of months but it will take all of our prayers to help that process along.

Jean Ward was in a serious car accident the evening of March 1.
She has a skull fracture behind her left ear, and has injured her right wrist.
Xrays aren't showing a break, but they aren't certain yet that it's not broken.
She also has many bruises and scrapes on her left side. We are Blessed
that she survived. Her car, the little silver one, is totaled.
Jean had a passenger with her, a female friend, and she is doing very well.
Her friend received only minor bruising from the seatbelt.

I (CindiGott) saw Jean this morning and her spirits are high, although one of her medications
is making her a bit nauseous. Her mother, biological father, and boyfriend were there.
She is currently in Pediatric ICU at Methodist, and may have a limited number
of visitors (only 3 at a time). The trauma docs have ordered a CT Angiogram
to check out the blood vessels that lead up to the brain today.
Jean believes that after that test they will allow her to remove her neck brace,
which is driving her crazy. (It's keeping her from talking much!)

Ronda was doing ok. She'd rushed out of the house, when informed of the accident,
quite hurriedly, and didn't have any real shoes with her. Fortunately, Jean's fit her,
and is holding her over until Dan brings up clothes later today.

Keep Jean, Ronda, and their family in your prayers, and be sure to thank God for his many Blessings.
If you'd like to send Jean a card (no flowers at this point), the address is
Methodist Hospital, 1701 N Senate Blvd, Indianapolis, IN, 46206.
Just write patient under her name.
She will probably move to another room by the time the card gets to the hospital.
PLEASE KEEP JEAN AND HER FAMILY IN YOUR THUGHTS AND PRAYERS. (3/2/07)

Jean Ward called Yulonda, and they are tentatively planning to send
her home to tomorrow (Monday). Keep the prayers coming! (3/5/07)

REPORTED BY MARILYN WILSON ON 2/18/07
Hello All,

I was fortunate to spend an hour with Barb yesterday before she left the hospital. She was going to Cindy's house for the next 4 days.

We had a lovely visit and she told me what happened. She then indicated, using her thumb and first finger,
with about an inch spread, how close we all came to losing her. Scares me now to type that information.
However, if you had seen her yesterday, you would believe there wasn't a thing wrong with her......she's the picture of health.

Her son-in-law called her on Weds. and said he was coming down to shovel her driveway.
She told him he didn't need to do that, but, since there was no school, he said he was free and going to come.
When he got to Shelbyville, he called from the Wal-Mart to see if she needed anything and she told him,
no, but to hurry as her heart was beating very fast.

He hung up and dialed 911 and before he got to her house, two emergency vans were there.
She was taken to Major hospital in Shelbyville, but they decided she needed to go to a different hospital.
Since her daughter, Cindy, works at St. Francis South, Barb said that's where she'd like to go.

3 doctors worked on her and found the blockage, and inserted 2 stents. She was moved out of critical care
to a regular room on Fri. She can't drive for 2 weeks, can't return to work for 6 weeks,
and she said they gave her so many perceptions for meds she "knows she'll rattle when she walks".
Plus, a huge binder of dos and don'ts.

All the prayers and love sent to her sure made a difference and we will continue to keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

Rosella Lamb, PGG will have heart surgery on Monday Morning

at 7 AM at the St. Vincent's Heart Center at 106th and Meridian.

Please keep Rosella and Bob and their family in your thoughts and prayers. (2/4/07)
